UK online shoppers with Sainsburys?
Posted by admin | Under Order Groceries Online Monday Mar 8, 2010Hello
I would just like to ask people who are registered with and who have ordered food from Sainsburys to be delivered to your house, when you order the groceries you want and confirm your order (put in your bank card info etc) is that the only time you pay and has doing this paid for your goods or do you still need to pay the driver when he delivers to your house?
Silly question it may seem but i just checked my online banking and my account hasn’t gone down the amount that i have paid for these Online Groceries from sainsburys
cheers
Sometimes the amount you actually pay is different from the amount shown on the email that confirms your order.
eg, if substitutes are made the price might differ form your 1st choice cost. (You can mark boxes near the end of checkout if you don’t want substitutes.
Also if the price of a product changes, or you order (say) 6 carrots, until the latter are packed the exact weight isn’t known.
I have found them to be accurate, even when I refused the substitute sent, the money quickly got refunded to my credit card.
Delivery price is clearly shown as a separate item.
I do usually give the driver a couple of pounds, but that is nothing to do with the bill and is not obligatory.
