brewing beer, where to buy ingrediants locally?

Wednesday Apr 7, 2010

i have never seen a homebrew shop anywhere in california…. not sure that they actually exist in the U.S. That being said, where could i find ingrediants to make beer locally?

like would a safeway or other grocer have stuff like this( very unlikely but possible i guess)

i dont want to order online

such as : hops, ale yeast, barley, malts, etc.

They definitely exist all over the U.S. I personally like ordering online because it is convenient. To find a shop go to www.beeradvocate.com and click on beerfly. You can search for homebrew shops that way and read user reviews. It’s a fun hobby, enjoy!

Go to http://byo.com and click on the "Resources" button. That will direct you to a list of home brew shops in your area.

If you can’t find a home brew shop in CAli you haven’t looked. CA has a homebrew shop in every city. Ever used a phone book?

Try these.

Clubs can offer advice, info, potential pitfall’s to avoid and recipes to try.
As well as directions to your local (nearest home brew supply store).

Hope this helps.

Happy Brewing !!
