Is it possible that any state has no home brew shops? I guess it is but not my state. Try the Beverage People in Santa Rosa. They have a great retail store and a good online business too.
References :
www.morebeer.com
Beer, Beer and More Beer (or B3) has a shop in Riverside and concord, I believe. There's also some in SD. Which part of Cali are you looking? Just so a search in the phone book, or online.
You can also visit www.thebrewingnetwork.com They have a very interactive forum there. Someone there can point you in the right direction.
And, no. Safeway or other regular grocery stores will not carry what you are looking for.
References :
Okay not online but Williams Brewing in the Bay Area has some real good stuff. If you are not finding a home brew store in CA then you are not looking. Cali has a lot of places to get your stuff.
