What are some dangers of internet addiction ?
Posted by admin | Under Internet Grocery Wednesday Mar 24, 2010I know people say there are worse addictions out there .but what are the dangers of staying on the internet almost all of the time ?
I know 4 people who stay online almost 24 /7 and only leave the house to buy groceries
I think the dangers are more psychological effects rather than the physical effects.
If you spend 24/7 on the internet then you are more likely to suffer from depression as you are getting hardly any sunlight (lack of vitamin d also)
You may become lonely as you have isolated yourself from friends. You may gain weight as you are not doing any exercise.
You may develop anxiety as you have created your own ”world” in your house and you may find it harder and harder to go out.
Fatness…possible bone reduction

There are several dangers of staying on the internet all the time. Many of the symptoms are similar to those of anxiety and depression.
Here are some symptoms people experience when they are using the internet too much:
*Angry and irritable if they are away from the computer
*Never feeling like they get enough time with the internet
*Neglecting or avoiding real life friendships and relationships
*Falling behind on work and other activities
*Physical complaints, such as headaches, dry eyes, backaches (from using the computer and sitting too long)
*Reduction in personal hygiene and self care habits
