grocery delivery.. who takes up on this service?!?

Monday Mar 8, 2010

Hello, I’m just curious… I live in San Antonio and I see every here and there small and big companies that advertise for grocery shopping and delivery, is this really an affordable service and how does the pricing work?

When I lived in Massachusetts, I used to order on line and had home delivery for over 10 years. You give them a key and a credit card no. and they will put what needs to be kept cold or in the freezer away for you. If you stick to your grocery lists it tends to run about normal in price. Delivery is free after reaching a set price. Back orders are the only problem

It can get pricy and it could eventually become unsafe.

You’re giving them access to your house, by giving them a key.

And, even for the companies that don’t do the key thing, they aren’t going to be much concerned about your desires. When you’re doing your own shopping, you can check expiration dates and make sure you’ll use all of the product before that date. You can reach to the back of milk to get the one’s that’ll last longer.

They’re not going to do that for you!

I wouldn’t do it.
