My family is picky. I need meals that I can get from discount grocery stores like Sav a lot (I ‘m a poor grad student with 2 children) I just need meals for 4. Any ideas would be appreciated!!

Mash potatoes with cream of whatever they like and some kind of meat or what ever you choose. baked potatoes, home made quisedillas. Mash potatoes with cream of mushroom or chicken or whatever, green beans and corn, you can add bacon bits or any meat if you choose. There are a lot and if you want to get a hold of me just send me an e-mail or a I’m…good luck…I’ll pray for you

Upside down pizza is one of my cheap favorite meals.

1. Brown either ground turkey or hamburger, drain it ($2 to $3)
2. Remove from heat
3. Add a jar of pizza sauce (at walmart it cost about $0.60)
4. Pour the meat/pizza sauce mixture to a pan
5. Layer sliced cheese on top of the meat mixture
6. Get a can of crescent rolls and lay them flat on top of the cheese (walmart brand of crescent rolls cost around $1)

Cook on 350 until the crescent rolls are done.

It is so yummy.

a packet of spaghetti with a jar of store bought tomato sauce and u can add a few sliced mushrooms to it when you heat it up and if your family likes cheese a sprinkling of cheese,

You can do baguettes with almost any type of filling and serve with a side salad.

Soups go a long way too with some crusty bread.

You can make a tuna casserole with canned tuna which is cheaper than tuna steaks.

And just some steamed veg with a light dressing or some hollandaise sauce.

Toasted sandwiches and a salad on the side is great too

I work long hours, so I use quick and easy meals like:

Sheppard’s pie — Use a cake pan. Cover the bottom of the pan with cooked hamburger meat. Next add a layer of corn. Make instant potatoes on the side, then spread a layer of potatoes on the top. Bake at about 375 for about

Cows Nest — (At Sav-A-Lot, there is cans of roast beef in gravy. Looks like an oversized tuna fish can.) I make homemade mashed potatoes. Then warm up the roast beef in gravy. Put a mound of mashed potatoes in the center of a plate, making a hole in the center. Spoon the roast beef and gravy into the center.
