Where is the cheapest place to buy groceries and produce in the Boston/Cambridge area?
Posted by admin | Under Cheap Groceries Monday Dec 21, 2009I am a newly single mom with teenage boys and i cannot seem to keep food in the house. I’m spending $400 a week on it and I just can’t afford it. Currently I shop at Stop & Shop. Does anyone know the cheapest place to buy groceries? Or produce in bulk quantities for cheap? I buy over 8 dozen pieces of fruit a week! I live in the Watertown/Waltham area. Is food cheaper in Cambridge? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hello Mom
Wow 400 a week!

Have you considered the MarketBasket chain?
There are several around the eastern Mass area.

I shop regularly at the one in Stratham NH
Of course there’s the Walmart Super Centers. Not everything is the cheapest available in walmart for food but most is
