What is the average price of groceries in acapulco, mexico?

Are groceries cheap in acapulco? example a loaf of bread…1-6 pesos?

Yes , there are some real bargains. Bollios–(Calabrese Buns) are 1 peso. Fruit and vegetables are the best bargain at all large supermarkets. Bread , integral. start at 18 pesos a loaf and up to 28 pesos for the 8 grain brown.
A 4 gallon Bottle of water is 25 pesos less the security deposit.
Tia rosa tortillas are 24 pesos for 20 . Eggs are cheap and I can`t recall how much for a flat of 18. Like anywhere beef is more expensive than Pork and chicken is still not a bad deal. Rice is cheap and milk is under price control , less than a dollar a liter in all supermarkets. Fresh LaLa is 10 pesos a liter. The milk that does not need refrigeration is 9 pesos a liter.
Acapulco is the more expensive on the west coast, at least all the cities I have traveled to

HELP! I’m broke and need to buy groceries for the rest of the month?

I have 126 dollars to last me the rest of the month for groceries (I am layed off from work and my wife doesn’t make a whole lot). We have 4 kids plus the 2 of us. Does anybody know where I can get some online coupons or budget cooking recipes?? I’ve done a yahoo search and came up basically empty handed, so any help at all would be appriciated.

There’s a couple sites to get you started. I’ve been in a similar situation several times, I know it sucks.

When we’re broke, we live off of rice, ramen, potatoes, sometimes mac and cheese, and whole chickens. Tuna is also good. After you roast a chicken, make chicken stock out of it, in the biggest pot you have, and use that for cooking rice, etc, and use the leftover meat (every little piece you can find) for casseroles. Get frozen vegetables to put in the ramen. Use sour cream in the mac and cheese if you can instead of the butter. It adds way more flavor and I think it makes it more filling.

Obviously you’ll have to cater to your family’s tastes and needs, but there’s a few suggestions. Google "frugal living" and you’ll find a bunch of blogs and stuff that will help you save money on food and everything else. If all else fails, find a place near you to get a food box. Apply for food stamps, but if you just got laid off and made a good amount of money last month, you might not be able to get them, although you might still be eligible for emergency food money. It never hurts to ask.

Best of luck to you.

What are some dangers of internet addiction ?

I know people say there are worse addictions out there .but what are the dangers of staying on the internet almost all of the time ?

I know 4 people who stay online almost 24 /7 and only leave the house to buy groceries

I think the dangers are more psychological effects rather than the physical effects.
If you spend 24/7 on the internet then you are more likely to suffer from depression as you are getting hardly any sunlight (lack of vitamin d also)
You may become lonely as you have isolated yourself from friends. You may gain weight as you are not doing any exercise.
You may develop anxiety as you have created your own ”world” in your house and you may find it harder and harder to go out.

Looking for an asian hard candy. Possibly Vietnamese.?

Okay. When I was younger my step-grama always bought me this hard candy. It was some kind of Asian candy… I think it may have been Vietnamese. It came in a dark brown/black package, and the candy was individually wrapped. The candy itself was a weird dark honey brown color, and almost had a shimmer to it. The flavor was very odd… distinct. It almost tasted like it had alcohol (liquor) in it. I can’t remember much else about it… and cannot find it anywhere! It’s been years since I’ve had it, so I’m not sure if it even exists. Hopefully someone can help me out here. I’ve searched a ton of online Asian grocers and haven’t found anything.
I’m sure it was Asian.
Probably should have mentioned the candy is round/oval shaped. Like a cough drop.

It’s tamarind candy; very yummy indeed! It’s one of my favorites.

Hope I helped!

Is it against the law for a grocery store to sell expired foods?

We have a discounted grocery store in the city which I live in and I shop there from time to time and Ive always noticed that alot of foods (dairy products) is expired by a couple of days like 2-7 and the other foods like frozen products and juice, canned goods has been expired for weeks. So my question is. isn’t that illegal to do?

no, it is only illegal when the expiration date reaches the current date, then it is illegal even if it says it will expire in a day you can still sell it untill that days come so no not untill it is the current dated
